Hathaway Injured On Film Set

Actress Anne Hathaway sustained a gruesome injury while filming her new movie 'Get Smart' - cutting her shins to the bone.
The 'Devil Wears Prada' star was performing a stunt on the spy-themed action film, when she hit her legs on a metal bar - and the wounds were so deep her shin bones were exposed.
But Hathaway refused to let the injury slow her down and insisted on finishing the scene - but she was overruled by movie bosses who forced her to cut filming short and seek medical attention.
She says: "We were doing a scene where I had to kick a Russian spy in the chest. And as I lifted my knees up to my chest to kick, I hit a bar that shouldn't have been there.
"My shin split open and I had to have 15 stitches, I tried not to wimp out but I could see my shinbones. So I turned to the director and said, 'If I could have Extra Strength Tylenol (pain killer), I could probably do the shot.'
"And the script supervisor, my dresser and my make-up artist all said to me, 'You get a plastic surgeon to sew up your legs. And you finish work right now.' I was trying to continue but in that one I was overruled."

Anne Hathaway's Italian Beau Has Money Trouble

The money trouble of Anne Hathaway's Italian beau Raffaello Follieri is not over yet.
The Follieri Foundation, a charity operated by Follieri, is being investigated by New York State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, the New York Post reported Monday.
While the exact nature of the inquiry is currently unknown, the attorney general's office has confirmed that it has issued subpoenas for various financial records of the Manhattan-based charity, which says its programs include vaccinating Third World children.
A representative for Follieri said the 29-year-old businessman "looks forward to concluding this matter in a timely and expeditious manner...so that he may continue to fulfill his ongoing philanthropic endeavors worldwide."
Until last year, Hathaway, 25, sat on the foundation's board of directors and traveled with the charity. The actress' representative said Hathaway is no longer associated with the foundation, although he didn't "remember exactly when she ceased to be a board member."
Follieri has been dating Hathaway since 2005. This is the latest in his string of legal woes. In April, he was arrested in Manhattan after he was charged with bouncing a 215,000 U.S. dollars check.
Earlier this year, Follieri settled a lawsuit filed by Los Angeles billionaire Ron Burkle, who accused him and the Follieri Group of "systematically misappropriating" at least 1.3 million dollars of more than 55 million dollars that Burkle's company had contributed to a joint venture to buy and redevelop Catholic Church properties. The two sides settled earlier this year.

Anne Hathaway Couldn't Keep A Straight Face

Anne Hathaway stars alongside funnymen Steve Carell and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in the upcoming comedy Get Smart, and she claims it was often tough to keep a straight face during filming.
"Oh, you have no idea. There are a few shots in the movie that you can tell I am about to go," the actress told Parade magazine. "And it's funny the things that you wind up doing to keep yourself from laughing. You just all of a sudden become very interested in your wristwatch. Or you suddenly just need to bite a knuckle, but like pretend that you're doing it in anger. There were definitely moments like that."
Get Smart hits theatres on June 20.

Anne Hathaway's Boyfriend Escapes Charges

Anne Hathaway’s boyfriend Raffaello Follieri will not face charges for writing a bad cheque.
The Italian property developer was arrested in March for trying to pay a $250,000 bill to John Morrongiello with a bad cheque but has now reimbursed the amount.
He has escaped prosecution because Morrongiello no longer wants to pursue the matter.
This is not the first time Follieri has faced legal problems.
Last year, he was sued for $55 million for allegedly using money from his company to spend on himself and the Devil Wears Prada star.
Last month, he paid out $1.3 million to his former investment partner, billionaire Ron Burkle, to settle the claims.
He was also recently ordered by a Washington court to pay a public relations firm $250,000 for work done on his behalf.
Hathaway, 25, has been dating Follieri, 29, for four years and says she can’t imagine life without him.
She said: "I love Raffaello with everything, and I don't know how I could ever be with anyone else, ever."
